Lexus is only getting 240HP from their 2L turbo??

But the infotainment system!

Mercedes has one that has 221 HP. And 248 HP. And 302 HP. And 382 HP. And 415 HP. I may be missing even more.
They’re tuning it differently depending on the application.
In Lexus' case, this is kinda the base model for people who aren't too concerned about performance.

I bet that was hard to load into your cart!

“Special Edition” = new model coming soon?
At least the ICE has been updated past 2006 standards, I think.

If I had, I would have set a new high score at Costco.

I've always thought those were really good looking wheels.

That’s a lot of scratch for an IS300.

Unlike the optional V6.

That’s what I was thinking.

No one has paid that much for an IS300 (non-Fspert). There's always room to go down on these.

And if you *do* car about performance, get ready to drop nearly six figures on an LC or GS-F. Otherwise, the UX250h gets 41 mpgs so that's neat.

The GS-F is a really cool car with a total crack pipe price. It should either be priced $15k lower or have 125 more horsepower and a better transmission.

that’s the price for the “two pack” right?

Fun fact! The AWD version of the IS300 has a 6-speed automatic and a detuned 3.5 V6

I remember I test drove an IS250 when the current style debuted - somehow, I was intrigued by the look. Even coming from a diesel MB at the time, it seemed tepid, and the infotainment displays seemed a decade old - and this was on a new model. It was like the model existed to encourage mature buyers into a GS (which leased quite poorly, although I liked some interior elements, it was never a serious consideration).

Funny, I leased a GS prior to the W212 because it leased so well. But it’s so true about their technology. Still is. Yet my wife has her RX350 lease ending in December, and she’s going to lease another one. Probably the longer one, maybe a different color. I’m not getting involved.

The 212s I leased anyway did so very well, but I picked oddball or leftover cars. I liked the GS I looked in around 2013 or 14 th at that striated metal interior trim, and at the time the wider infotainment screen seemed very advanced - but I actually felt like I was getting more for my money with the MB, maybe because I buy into the brand equity. Higher MSRP but lower payment.
In a relationship, each side should have free reign over their choice, especially if they pay for it. Another realm where happiness can be being single. I call the RX a designer handbag on wheels.
